Teaching and certifications

Since June 2026 I have taught practical work with Claude at Claude Hacker House. I hold a trainer license from the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Frankfurt) for two IT apprenticeships. This page lists both, then my certifications with their issuers, then my education.

Lecturer at Claude Hacker House since June 2026

Claude Hacker House is a series of workshops on practical applications of the AI assistant Claude. I am a lecturer there together with Fayssal El Mofatiche and Christian Schulze. We show how Claude is used for code, analysis, automation and workflows in business and finance. My sessions cover effective prompting, AI-assisted workflows and real use cases. Participants work with the tool in the room. One Frankfurt session took place on August 20, 2026.

My own focus in the series is building MCP servers and virtual organizations. The second is also a research field of mine, described on Virtual organizations. Trainer license from IHK Frankfurt

I hold a training authorization under sections 28 to 30 of the German Vocational Training Act (Berufsbildungsgesetz, BBiG), issued by IHK Frankfurt. It covers two IT apprenticeships: Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung (application development) and Fachinformatiker Systemintegration (system integration). With it I am allowed to train apprentices in these two professions.

Certifications and their issuers

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, issued by Amazon Web Services.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, issued by Amazon Web Services.
  • Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), issued by Scrum.org.
  • Google Analytics certification and Google Mobile Sites certification, both issued by Google.
  • Certified Bitcoin Professional (CBP), issued by the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium (C4). The exam covers the Bitcoin protocol and its functions.
  • Certified DeFi Expert, issued by Blockchain Council. The exam covers the market for decentralized finance.

I took the two blockchain exams after I moved to the Frankfurt-based company Blocksize Capital in 2022, first the CBP, then the DeFi exam. I have used AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPCs and CloudWatch since 2018, first for an insurance platform on AWS.

Claude Certified Architect Foundations

As of June 2026 I take part in Claude Certified Architect Foundations (CCAF), the first official certification program of Anthropic.

Education

I hold a technical diploma in mechanical engineering and English. I attended the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in Essen before I founded a global real estate database in 2004.

Courses

I keep training on my own, mostly with video courses and practical units. Courses I had completed by January 2023 include Elasticsearch 7 and the Elastic Stack, Docker Deep Dive, GitLab CI pipelines, PostgreSQL administration, Angular 8, and API specifications with OpenAPI.
