Web developer in Hanover for insurance brokers and financial advisers

I move the websites of insurance brokers and financial advisers from WordPress to fast websites that explain each field of advice in your own words, readable for clients and for AI assistants. Each page leads a visitor to one next step: an appointment, a callback or a message. Let's talk about your needs in a free 30-minute video call.

What I take care of for your firm

  • Experience in insurance

For more than twenty years I have designed websites and portals, among them the portals of an insurance group. I start with your clients: the questions they bring to a first meeting decide the pages.

  • A client area behind a login

I programmed the front end of a portal in which customers upload and manage their insurance policies. Your clients can send you documents the same way, through an area behind a login.

  • Imprint and status information

Your imprint with its register number and your status information for clients move word for word. Both stay linked from every page of the new site.

  • Calculators on request

Comparison calculators of outside providers load when a visitor asks for them. Until then the page shows your own text, which Google and AI assistants can read.

  • Projects on site in Hanover

I live in Frankfurt and work for projects on site in Hanover, Braunschweig and Hildesheim. I work in German and English.

What a broker’s website has to do

A client picks a broker or an adviser for trust in a person and for knowledge of a field, such as occupational disability, retirement or commercial property. The website has to show both in text, with a name and a face.

In Hanover, where several large insurers have their head offices, a broker’s pages compete with the insurers’ own pages for the same searches. If your product texts come from a service that supplies many brokers, the same paragraph stands on many sites, and Google and AI assistants have no reason to quote yours. Comparison calculators load as scripts or frames from the provider’s server. Vercel reported in December 2024 that the crawlers of OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity do not execute JavaScript (Vercel), so for them the calculator’s place on the page is empty. Clients then send policies and statements as email attachments, because the site offers no other way.

A page for each field of advice

The new site has one page per field of advice, written in your words, with the questions clients ask you in a first meeting. Each page names you, your region and how a consultation runs, and it ends with an appointment booking. The calculator sits on the page and loads after a click. Structured data states who you are, where you advise and which services you offer.

A client area for documents needs logins and a database, so it runs on Symfony or Laravel next to the static pages. I have built such areas before. At Policen Direkt in Frankfurt, from 2016 to December 2021, I programmed the front end of a portal in which thousands of customers uploaded and managed their insurance policies (customer count from those years). I used WordPress for the group’s websites through several launches and relaunches, and in 2018 TU Dresden named the group’s online guide the insurance blog of the year. For a financial services group I built a portal that gives companies its documents on the Money Laundering Act behind a login. Details: A digital insurance manager on AWS.

Client questions and the page that answers them

The table maps questions that clients ask an adviser, or an AI assistant, to the page that answers them and what that page states. Use it as a plan for your own site.

Who I am

I am Michael Wutzke, an IT architect for data platforms in Frankfurt with more than twenty years in IT and media. After my years at Policen Direkt I was Head of Decentralized Finance and Node Operations, then CIO, at the Frankfurt-based company Blocksize Capital. I have published articles in specialist media on finance and insurance, among them Der Bank Blog, hold the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification and teach at Claude Hacker House. I build software with Claude and Codex and am interested in open-source AI models that a brokerage can run on its own servers. Details: Background.

How the move of your website runs

  1. Free video call

In 30 minutes we look at your site, your fields of advice and how clients reach you today.

  2. Assessment together

We go through pages, product texts, calculators, forms, appointment booking and the required information, and decide what the new site has to do.

  3. Quote and order

You receive a quote for the migration. The work starts once you accept it.

  4. A page per field of advice

Each field of advice gets a page in your words. Texts that a content service supplied to many brokers are replaced or marked for you to rewrite.

  5. Switch

The new site goes live, the old addresses forward permanently, and the old WordPress goes offline.

  6. Handover

From then on you or your AI agent adds pages and news. I show the workflow on your own site.

Questions companies ask

Can our comparison calculators stay?

Yes. They load on a page of their own or after a click, so they neither slow down the rest of the site nor connect a visitor to an outside server before the visitor chooses to. The text around each calculator stays readable for Google and AI assistants.

Can clients upload documents on the new site?

Yes, in a client area behind a login, which runs on Symfony or Laravel with a database. The documents are stored on servers in the region you choose, for example AWS in Frankfurt. The area replaces documents sent as email attachments.

Who writes the texts for our fields of advice?

You know your clients and your products, so the texts start with you: a conversation, notes or old texts. Your AI agent can turn them into drafts, and you approve every page before it goes live. I give no legal or regulatory advice on the content.

Which technologies do you use?

It depends on what your site has to do. Pages and posts I build with Astro and deliver as static HTML. A client area with logins and documents runs on Symfony or Laravel with a database, or on Node.js with Next.js when the frontend is built in React.

Do you come to Hanover?

Yes, for meetings that work better at one table, such as the assessment, in Hanover, Braunschweig or Hildesheim. I live in Frankfurt, and the rest of the work runs remotely. I take migrations on as freelance projects.
